Who We Are

We came from humble beginnings as a handful of carpenters coming together to create a community based construction company.  It started with a sawmill, creativity, and the drive to do something different. We began with small exterior architectural projects, moving into building a tiny home, and now focus on detailed home improvement projects etc..

Our vision as a cooperative was and still is to provide Siskiyou County locals with the opportunity to not only become a professional, but also a business owner.

A cooperative within the construction industry is extremely rare and unique.  No matter the job, you can rest assured that there is an owner present. Having an owner at each job site creates further care, reliability, and well… ownership.

We are a licensed General B corporation and each and every member is listed as an owner on our CSLB license.

"every member has clearly defined tasks in a cooperative enterprise"

“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will be met with a success unexpected in common hours.”
— Henry David Thoreau
  • Evan Drake

Evan moved to Mount Shasta in 2020, shortly after meeting his now-wife Kirsten (fun fact they got married in our former co-op barn). They were living out of his truck, and a chance encounter led Kirsten to connect him with two other future co-op members, Charley and Davis. At that point, he had just enough professional experience to call himself a carpenter. Since then, with the support of the other members, he’s expanded his skill set considerably and has cultivated a true love for the craft.

His current direction in building lies somewhere between timber framing, the salvage arts, and accessible quality housing for a changing world.

We are so lucky to have him!

  • Teddy Dellaganna

Teddy joined the co-op back in January of 2022. He brings massive amounts of experience as his background is in home inspections and flipping houses. He takes his craft seriously and is extremely detailed when it comes to quality of work. He is originally from Templeton CA but after meeting and marrying a siskiyou county native he landed here and ain’t no goin no where in sight. With two sweet boys in tow and big dreams they are quite the family and we are lucky to have em!

  • Davis Elliott

Davis! Another amazing founding member of the cooperative. This guy, as most of you already know, is crazy talented and wicked smart. Before he decided to try (and succeed) his hand at carpentry he was a fly fishing guide! His favorite part of the gig is getting to make gorgeous designs come to life with our own milled wood. He tried his hand at painting and no surprise, produces some incredible human portraits. He is also currently shadowing a local tattoo artist to further his creativity.

Mama mountain was calling and 6 years ago he ditched his Arkansas digs to call this beautiful place home… we sure ain’t mad about that!

  • Vince Stevenson

Vince..quite the talent here! He has been with the co-op since early 2021 and we are so grateful for his passion, creativity, and skill set. His favorite part of the job is milling wood and watching projects come to life with our fresh cut stuff.

He is originally from Eastern Montana and has lived in Mount Shasta with his partner since 2008. Before he began in the trades he was a Wildland firefighter for the U.S. Forest service.

The most unique thing about Vince?? He has a degree in Spanish language and culture and completed his degree in Fairbanks Alaska!

When he isn’t busy milling and building you can catch him playing crazy shows all over Siskiyou county with the band we all know and love, the Windfields.

  • Charley Mcdowell

Our guy Charley! An original founding member of the cooperative, bringing so much expertise to the team. He started working in construction at 15 years old! His passions within the trade include designing, woodworking, project management, and working with a team. His long term goal is to get into Tiny Home builds.

You can always find him at the local Jiu Jitsu joint most mornings, followed by coffee at Seven Suns.

The Cooperative is truly a community and he is surrounded by his wife, kids, and extended family here in Mt. Shasta.

  • Shayna Cassidy

Shayna! Our director of administration. The one who keeps these guys in line ;) She joined the co-op back in 2021 and has never looked back. Born and raised here in Mt. Shasta she was exposed to all things construction as her dad was a general contractor here for 30+ years.

If anyone could be a little too involved in our community it would be her. She is the site manager for the Horse Camp cabin on Mt. Shasta, SORA’s event coordinator for the 4th of July run/walk, the treasurer for the Mt. Shasta Rotary Club and foundation, and still finds time to put on all of our community driven events.

When shes not workin she is skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, running, kayaking… you get the point. Her and her partner purchased their first home here in Mt. Shasta last year and she can’t wait for the guys to work on her house!

  • Cody Rooney

    Stay Tuned!

  • Corey Moser

Corey may be our newest member but he is no stranger to the trades and is a long time friend of a few fellow co-opers! He has a long history working on a painting crew and is as artistic and handy as they come.

Born and raised in Weed CA he ventured off for school and met his now wife Emily. They are raising some sassy little guys and are one amazing family. We are so happy to welcome this family to ours!
